A versatile recipe from Rich Smith of Chattanooga, TN, in his own words for today’s post!

I’ve used this recipe in almost every lighting condition and it always turns out great!  Here’s how it works:

1.  BAMF 8-Bit (B&W) – Turn down the BG Overlay layer down to 50%
2.  Old Skool (Fast) @ 50% – Delete the Grain layer and turn down the Warm Toning layer to 50%
3.  Merge all layers
4.  f/zero – extend gradient from subject to past document edge (easier to do when screen mode is in ‘full’ by hitting “F”)
5.  f/zero Super HQ Conversion
