How did you get into photography?

Fell in love after developing my first negative in Jr. High

What inspires you, as a photographer?  Art, music, emotion, images that tell a story, and having that wow when you surprise yourself with something you have created. when you surprise yourself with something you have created.

Who inspires you, artistically?  Thom York

Share a trade secret.

I think one of the best things that you can do to create buzz with your wedding images is blogging each and every wedding within days of shooting it.  Getting them online for your couples to see right away leads to them pointing all their friends to your site.

If not a photographer, you would be a…  Teacher

Who do you love?

I love my wife, she is my best friend and inspires me every day to be better at what I do.  I also love film, not quite as much as my wife but pretty close.  The look and process of film is just magical, and yes I do shoot a ton of digital.

Do you teach?

Teaching has always been something that I have enjoyed.  I have taught in youth and college ministry for the last 7 years and really value getting to give back to others.  I think that teaching is the best way to grow yourself.

What’s the plan for 2010?

Creatively I love shooting commercial photography and have plans to broaden my commercial work in 2010.  I also plan to implement more film into my wedding work.

No day is worth living without : love.

Anything else?

I guess since I wrote what I love I will tell you what I hate.  I hate traffic, wearing suits, getting my picture taken, not having enough caffeine, writing bio’s, and taking myself too seriously.

Thanks for sharing, Jeffrey! The JNP is too modest to mention that his Santa Ana, CA Workshop is now booking!  It’s a steal at $550 for a full day’s worth of learning. More information here!
